Which type of baluster system is better, polyester coated foam or real cast stone? if you have a wooden deck you can not use real cast stone balusters due to weight and vibration of wood, however if you have a solid deck (eg. cinder block, stone, concrete or brick etc.) you have an option to use a much wider variety of balusters and therefor you should consider the following facts:

- "Concrete balusters have seems in two places" - FALSE: Vytas ornamental real cast stone concrete balusters do not have seems in two places.
- "Once concrete balustrade weathers, nothing can be done to return it to its original beauty" - FALSE: When manufactured properly, cast stone concrete balustrade ages very nicely unlike coated foam which despite the gimmick of containing marble dust or saw dust remains flat in appearance. and unlike our cast stone balusters, coated foam can shrink and expand with weather changes, often leaving large gaps.
If you really want to improve the value of your property and have a solid deck, consider using the actual cast stone concrete balusters which are less expensive and more reliable in the long run.
